Listen up house hunters! There is something in the air in Venice – and you should not miss out on it. “Sarasota National” is the name of a new WCI community about 20 miles south of downtown Sarasota. You should keep an eye on that brand new development – it’s worth it!
Location! Location! From Sarasota International, which is part of the West Villages, it is only a stone’s throw away from “The Island of Venice” and the historic downtown area where you can browse boutiques and art galleries and relax at one of the tables at a sidewalk café. Want to watch the sunset after a wonderful day at the beach? The Venice fishing pier would be the place to be! You can enjoy a glass of wine and a nice dinner while watching how the sun dips into the Gulf of Mexico.
Now, let’s get to the point: What is so exciting about this new community? The 2 400-acre picturesque golf course community is approved for 1,584 homes, including 800 homes surrounding the golf and country club part of the community. 800 homes are going to be built outside of the golf course with lake and preserve views. Holy Cow – the entire community is all brick and mortar! However, that is exactly not the case. More than 1,300 acres of the new development is designed for preservation, conservation, and open space. Even Sarasota National’s already existing 18-hole golf course, designed by Gordon Lewis, is an Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary. There is wildlife everywhere, and homeowners will be thrilled to live in a lush sub-tropical surrounding. The natural beauty of Florida’s landscapes is showcased in every WCI Community – same in Sarasota National.
WCI Communities are well-known for the creation of amenity-rich, master-planned lifestyle communities, catering to retirement and second home buyers. Will Sarasota National make an exception? Of course not! An 18,000 sq ft resort-style clubhouse with casual and fine dining, bar and the grand ballroom is the heart of the community. The residents enjoy a resort-style pool, spa, and state-of-the-art health and fitness center. Har Tru® tennis courts are also available for the residents. A golf pro shop, driving range, and chipping and putting greens are part of the whole layout. Residents can take advantage of the many nature boardwalks and vistas seen from community golf courses. Many homes and coach homes have been completed in 2017. Sarasota National offers a wide choice of single-family homes, Villas and Carriage homes to suit your lifestyle. High-quality construction with a reinforced concrete block and concrete tile roof is the key. The Home sites are almost split in half into golf and non-golf sites. The living area of the homes varies between 1,600 and more than 2,500 sq ft. Prices are starting in the high $200’s for carriage homes and mid $300′ for single-family homes.
HOA fees for Villas and Grand Villas OFF the Golf Course are a $205/per month. HOA fees for Grand Villas ON the Golf Course are $346/month, Estate Homes ON the Golf Course are $366/per month. Please check back for Carriage Homes on the Golf Course. Anticipate a slightly higher fee, because they are in a Condo Association with building Insurance included. Please note that these fees may go up over time. Check back with us to confirm the current HOA fees.
